Semester is officially over!

Yeehaw! Just got finished with my last final (French) and what a way to go out! All of my finals were a lot simpler than they were made out to be, and especially French. It was all just reflections... you just had to write for like an hour and a half on different prompts that they gave you. And my prof loves me so I'll probably get a damned good grade in that class. I'm happy.

This week was pretty ridiculous. My two finals on Monday were OK. Web design was a joke, as always. We had to navigate to a website that the instructor made and told to replicate it. It was 6 or so pages with some "intense" JavaScript on one of them, but I managed to finish in a little over an hour. Honestly, there's no way the n00bies in that class could have finished it in time... it was way above the level that was taught in the class. But oh well, I'm pretty sure I passed... and that's all that counts, right? :D

Astronomy was difficult, as usual. I kinda crammed for about 2 hours prior to the test and I felt I was a little unprepared for it, but not entirely. I knew how to solve most of the problems and I didn't get whacky answers like saying the distance between 2 stars in the same galaxy is greater than the diameter of the universe... yeah it's happened. My answers at least made sense. :D But even so, I'm going to need a pretty high grade to pull me up from my 76.5% that I have-- and I don't see that happening.

Tuesday was probably my busiest day. I didn't have any finals, though I spent the entire day prepping 3 things: My French oral presentation at 6pm that day, my Comparative Politics exam at 8am the next day, and my Comp Sci final project for the next day. I got up pretty early and began working on my presentation. Got the bulk of it done and then Ryan called and asked to study for PolySci. So we ate and studied for a few minutes, then got sick of studying and played ping pong... then I went back and finished up the presentation and presented it at 6. It went really well as I got a 96/100 on it. :D After French I came back and just began cramming like mad for PolySci. I spent about 4 hours in the library and then came back and crammed some more in my dorm. I got to sleep around 4:00 and woke up at 6:30 to run down and get a bagel before the test. Then I got the test and it kinda sucked. I knew 4 of the 8 terms we had to define and I kinda bullshitted on the rest. Then the essays were all opinionated, so those were easy. Best of all, though, was after the test. We got our big papers back... I opened up to the last page and there was written "v. good 95." My jaw hit the floor. As I was walking out just gawking at the grade, people were like "pretty bad, huh?" "Yeah, I got a fucking 50!" "Yeah, a fucking 57!" I'm like O_O. Yeah I was happy.

So then I got back and passed out on my bed until about 1:30 when I realized I had my compsci project to finish. So I quickly (read: 10 minutes) put it together, burned it to a CD and ran it over to the comp sci building. Then I got ready for work as I had to work a special event from 5:00-9:00. It was the Steelers Kid Zone event where all the Steelers rookies come and cheer on kids as they do little competitions that are taped. Dec. 24th and Dec. 31st before the Steelers game, turn on KDKA and you'll see me. :P

Anyway that wasn't too bad. After that I went to Eat 'n Park with Haley. He had extra "DineX"... and they can use it at CMU, so I forced him to buy me dinner. :P That was pretty fun and such as we discussed plans for the break and such. Hopefully we'll be able to hit the keg that his parents have Sunday. Got back around 11:30 and I went down to McD's and got ice cream with my roommate. There it kinda hit me: Fucking massive fatigue. I realized I slept probably a total of 8 or 9 hours the previous 48 that I was awake. Put that on top of finals and mental strain associated with them, and you have one tired son of a bitch. So I got back and pretty much just passed out on my bed.

I slept til 2:00 and that was pretty nice as I didn't have anything but the French final at 6:00. My roommate had a final at 2:00, but he didn't get up... again. So that was the 3rd of 4 finals that he didn't go to. *shakes head* Oh well.

As for tonight, I was hoping to get a bit of al-key-hawl, though I really don't have the energy to go anywhere. I have no meal blocks or dining dollars left so I'm fucked as it comes to food and looks like I'll just have to sustain myself on the subway that I had at 3:00 today and maybe a quick midnight run to mcd's.

Tomorrow I gotta get everything together to go home. I'll be home around 4:00 tomorrow I figure and I have a feeling I'll just be sleeping as I'm still rather exhausted. Oh well. But what a semester... college is fun as hell.

Don't know if I'm going to be updating over x-mas as most of you that I blog to... I'll be hanging out with. :P So yeah, hope everyone has a good "holiday" break. Will see a good portion of you soon.. and the others I will see when we return! 'Til next time kiddos!
