Week 2 Picks

This week should be significantly better I think. A lot of very one-sided match ups-- though, that could always lead to an upset, eh? So without further ado:

Sunday 9/17:
Miami (0-1-0) def. Buffalo (0-1-0)
Carolina (0-1-0) def. Minnesota (1-0-0)
Cincinatti (1-0-0) def. Cleveland (0-1-0)
Chicago (1-0-0) def. Detroit (0-1-0)
Indianapolis (1-0-0) def. Houston (0-1-0)
New Orleans (1-0-0) def. Green Bay (0-1-0)
New York Giants (0-1-0) def. Philadelphia (1-0-0)
Baltimore (1-0-0) def. Oakland (0-1-0)
Atlanta (1-0-0) def. Tampa Bay (0-1-0)
Seattle (1-0-0) def. Arizona (1-0-0)
St. Louis (1-0-0) def. San Francisco (0-1-0)
Denver (0-1-0) def. Kansas City (0-1-0)
New England (1-0-0) def. New York Jets (1-0-0)
San Diego (1-0-0) def. Tennessee (0-1-0)
Dallas (0-1-0) def. Washington (0-1-0)

Monday 9/18:
Pittsburgh (1-0-0) def. Jacksonville (1-0-0)

Some things to watch:
- Was TB's loss last week a fluke? I'm kinda hoping so as I believe they're playoff worthy. Do I think they have the power to defeat Atlanta? HELL yes. This game is a toss up and should be very fun to watch.
- This week will put the Cards to the test. If they can pull off the upset against Seattle which, judging by last week, shouldn't be too hard, we might see a new playoff contender rise out of the ashes in the NFC.
- First week of NFC East inter-division play! Oh man I can't wait-- all of these games are toss-ups I think and, hopefully after this week, we can have a more defined picture of who will be playoff worthy from that division.
- Do the Jets have what it takes to beat the Pats? Pennington surprised everyone when he came out of last week as the best passer in the league, but that was against a fairly crappy Tennessee team. Then again, Brady's clearly missing Givens and Branch. If he can't find a new strategy soon I think the Pats won't have a chance this year.
- How will Trent Green's injury impact the Chiefs? With Huard be able to step up and defeat a Denver team that rather suprised all of us last week?
- And finally, how is Big Ben going to be in his first regular season action since the motorcycle accident + appendectomy? If history tells anything, I don't think the Super Bowl champs have much to worry about... other than the fact that they're playing a Jacksonville team that has a hell of a lot of potential.
