Bleh I suppose I should update this...

Since everyone else is and since every day I put it off I know I'll have more work to do when I eventually update, I might as well take the plunge.

So hi guys. What's up? Not sure what all I'll put in here as too much has happened and I'd be lucky to remember it all. But hell, let's start with X-mas break, shall we? First weekend we got back we got to hit that keg at Haley's I mentioned in my last post. That was enjoyable I guess. We spent that night playing mondo beer pong and watching Donnie Darko and then crashed in his living room around 4. I was rudely awoken by his family at 6:30 leaving for work / school, but meh, suppose they have lives to take care of. Heh yeah. So I eventually made it home that morning and then slept all day.

Next eventful occurance? X-mas eve. Went over to my grandfather's (new) house (on my dad's side) and sat around for the good part of the evening. My grandfather, however, was recently diagnosed with severe Parkinson's disease and has very little inhibitions... so around 9:00 he kicked us all out saying he'd call the cops if we didn't "get the fuck out of his house now." Yeah. It was sad. :(

So I got home, wrapped presents and such, and then went to sleep. Xmas day was pretty fun. Opened presents at home (got a bunch of skiing shit, madden 06) then at my aunt's (got a roethlisberger jersey). Probably the highlight of the night was playing a 4 hour trivial pursuit game with my entire extended family. Heh.. yeah....

Then like nothing else really interesting happened. I went ice skating with Jess (and got lost in North Park) and that was fun. Great seeing her again. But alas, all good things must come to an end. January 3rd was my first day of classes (which is entirely too fucking early) and such. But meh, this semester's gonna be better than the first I think. I have significantly more classes, but they're fun.

I start skiing next Monday and I can't wait for that. Johnson is in my class and he has a goal to get as fucked up as possible before going... that should be entertaining. :D Other than that, nothing really exciting. My english class is getting retarded already. It's entitled "Post 9/11 Dissent" with a gear toward analyzing America post-9/11. It's okay... the general theme appeals to me, however the assignments do not. Just did a writing exercise last night on how the image of the American flag has been distorted post 9/11 and don't get me wrong, it wasn't hard... just I think I can only bash Bush so much. :) And my ideas tend to turn sucky when I'm FORCED to write about this kind of stuff. Most people know I frequent political sites and am pretty strongly anti-the way this country is going and I don't shy from those issues. However, it's clearly going to be different when I'm not making my own opinions "recreationally," if you will. Not to mention the professor is one of those douche bags that doesn't take anything but his own garbage as truth with no room for debate.

Oh well. I'm having fun so far.. it's a lot quieter in here without Johnson (no offense buddy). :P Other things besides school: Had my year end eval at work with our boss who's never over at sportsworks and has the mindset of a 2-year-old. It went surprisingly well, though in the sense that I didn't get as sucky as a lot of other people got. That's not the best way to look at it, but meh. Terri says I have a future there (OH BOY! -_-) implying a promotion in the near-future, but I don't see it coming with baby face holding us by our balls.

Went up to Erie on Sunday night. It was fun. Didn't have the best night in the world, probably because I get really frustrated at drunken stupidity *cough* Haley *cough*, but it was fun driving up there and back. I flew up, averaging around 93mph on 79... but meh, there weren't any cars on the road sunday night anyway. On the way home I didn't go nearly as fast (more cars / cops), but still made it home fairly quickly.

Oh and most importantly, WOO FUCK YEAH STEELERS!!!!

:D That'll probably change by next Sunday, but I'm cheering them on til they lose. :)

Anyway, yeah, I missed a lot I know. Like that whole LAN party thing we had, but meh I'm getting tired of thinking. So until next time kiddos.
